IAS in numbers
In 2025, we hosted and organised 112 events, using various formats: lectures, expert discussions, community events, workshops and seminars. Most events at the IAS are typically small-scale and flexible, offering researchers a haven to ponder, debate and reflect in an almost ‘homely’ ambiance.
The IAS fellowship program brings together selected researchers from the University of Amsterdam and other research institutes in the Netherlands and around the world to collaborate on complex challenges. A fellowship at the IAS in Amsterdam is all bout lively multidisciplinary interaction with other bright and creative minds, in an inspiring environment. In 2025, 19 fellows joined the IAS.
